Couples Counselling
As a couple, discuss and explore areas of your relationship with a counsellor over regular sessions of 60–90 minutes each. Sessions are available face to face in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata — or online by video call for couples across India and NRIs worldwide.
What does Couples Counselling involve?
- The counsellor helps the couple become aware of unique patterns of interaction in their relationship. Together, goals are set for replacing unhelpful patterns and strengthening positive ones.
- The couple explores how their current life stage — whether newly together, raising children, or transitioning later in life — influences the relationship dynamic.
- The counsellor supports both partners in communicating more effectively, developing new skills and building a stronger connection.
- The counsellor remains neutral throughout, giving equal time and attention to both partners’ needs and perspectives.
What can Couples Counselling help with?
Couples seek counselling and marriage therapy for a wide range of concerns, including:
- Communication breakdown and recurring conflict
- Rebuilding trust after infidelity or a difficult period
- Intimacy and emotional connection
- Premarital counselling and preparation for marriage
- Parenting differences and household responsibilities
- Financial stress and decision-making
- Relationships with extended family and in-laws
- Life transitions — marriage, parenthood, career changes, relocation
- Separation, divorce and co-parenting
Benefits of Couples Counselling
Research indicates that couples counselling and marriage therapy leads to positive outcomes and is significantly more effective than no intervention at all. Working with a neutral, trained counsellor gives both partners a safe space to be heard and understood — often the first step towards meaningful change.
