Get Published – Welcoming Counsellors and Psychologists to Write!
TalkItOver is a movement to create awareness about counselling and psychology and to help people understand how it can support their everyday lives. To achieve this, we invite counsellors and psychologists to write informative articles that offer a psychological perspective on real-life topics.
Getting published on TalkItOver gives you the opportunity to:
- Influence change by increasing awareness about counselling and psychology in India
- Reach a wide audience and share your knowledge and experience
- Write on areas of interest and expertise, becoming visible to people with needs in those areas
- Make a difference — you do not have to think of yourself as a writer; our guidelines will help you put together a piece that is helpful to others and personally satisfying
Guidelines for articles
- The main objective is to share information from a psychological perspective in a way that is reader-friendly — put yourself in the reader’s shoes and communicate with warmth and empathy
- Use simple, accessible language and avoid jargon. Rather than giving advice or quick tips, encourage readers to explore their own unique answers
- Articles should be relevant to the Indian context — use Indian case studies or examples where appropriate
- Maximum word limit: 1,000 words
- It helps to read some of the articles already published on the site before you begin
Sample topics
- Dynamics in friendship
- Dealing with conflict in relationships
- Financial stress in marriage
- Divorce and separation
- Emotional abuse
- Sibling relationships in a family
- Stress in the workplace
- Learning to be a team player
- Balancing work and personal life
- Depression and anxiety
