Support Groups
Join a small group of people who are in a similar life stage or situation, to share, learn and grow together. Groups meet at regular intervals and are facilitated by a trained counsellor. Support groups are available virtually, making them accessible from anywhere in India.
What does a Support Group involve?
- The purpose of a support group is to explore your situation with others who have similar experiences, leading to personal growth and development. The counsellor helps group members support each other — sharing in the group helps you understand that you are not alone.
- All human beings learn and grow in the context of a group. A support group provides the opportunity to see yourself both as an individual and as a group member.
- Group counsellors help the group develop trust and communicate effectively.
- You get the opportunity to share your concerns, gain feedback and perspectives from others, and contribute to the growth and development of fellow members.
Our Support Groups
Support Group for Single Parents (Women Only)
When women find themselves as single parents — whether through circumstance or choice — they often experience a range of intense emotions. Single mothers can feel overwhelmed juggling personal and professional responsibilities, dealing with children and family, and coming to terms with significant life changes.
This group hopes to be a space where women feel comfortable to share their experiences, feel understood and accepted, learn from mutual experiences, build supportive networks, and work towards personal emotional growth and well-being.
Support Group for Parents
Parenting today involves navigating significant changes at individual and societal levels. Family structures are becoming more fluid and egalitarian, and parents at times struggle to cope with their own needs alongside the needs of their children.
This group provides non-threatening, non-judgemental support as well as practical tools to help parents. Members are encouraged to learn from each other and find a space to share concerns, support, and validation for their struggles.
Support Group for Anger
Anger is a natural response to threats, injustice, and disappointment. But when it comes out as uncontrolled rage or outbursts, it can have significant consequences on our health, relationships, and well-being.
This group is a safe, non-threatening space to explore and acknowledge anger, understand its sources, become aware of its impact, and learn to express it in healthy and functional ways.
Support Group for Grief & Loss
We often experience many losses in life — the loss of a loved one, a cherished dream, or a relationship. Grief is a natural and important part of the healing process. Having an empathetic counsellor and a supportive group where others share similar experiences can be a game changer.
This group is a safe space to talk about the loss, feel heard and supported, learn new perspectives, and experience hope and renewed meaning as healing begins.
