Today’s technologically advanced world have been described by many as being a high-pressured and fast-paced world that is filled with uncertainty and ambiguity, a world that is oftentimes just plain stressful. At the workplace, employees are constantly confronted with important decisions and situations that yield feelings of anxiety, stress and tension. Employees who are involved in stress-producing situations frequently develop psychological, physical, or psychosomatic symptoms. (e.g, irrational thoughts, headaches, high blood pressure, diarrhea). When these symptoms persist or progressively intensify there exists a potentially serious threat to one’s health and well-being.
This stress-management program is designed to help individuals cope more effectively with stress and to remediate a number of specific problems associated with stressful situations.
The methodology consists of presentation, group discussion, video, role plays, completion of the State-Trait Anxiety questionnaire, progressive muscle relaxation and systematic desensitization
